Decades since its first launch, Maccabee, the most Israeli beer there is, is revived with a new taste and look, that were developed in a joint project with Heineken, one of Tempo`s owners.
The new Maccebee is richer in taste, richer in Malt, and has higher alcohol percent in volume than before (5%).
According to Guy Zukerman, manager of the beer category in Tempo: "The new Maccabee got remarkably high scores in blind taste test in comparison to other international beer brands".
Maccabee was first launched in 1968 and sold millions of bottles in the Israeli market since then. Maccabee enjoys relatively loyal consumers, and has a steady market share of 11% from the Israeli beer market.
In addition to the liquid, the Maccabee bottle was also changed, and was redesign by Philippe Boulakia. According to Boulkaia, "the new design keeps the current Maccabee values, such as simplicity and Israeliness, and enhances the brands with new values such as quality and fashionability, in order to attract new consumers while keeping existing ones".
